hulu... plus?

So Hulu is awesome. We've watched lost, psych, the good guys, law and order LA, and random movies. Lately, I found the health channel - hooray free workout videos, hello rock hard abs! Unfortunately, we've pretty much exhausted all the free stuff (and we heart free stuff).

So I've been thinking, what about hulu plus? $7.99. Unlimited tv shows, movie watching, and workout videos. But doesn't netflix do the same exact thing? Do you have experience with either netflix or huluplus? What do you do to satisfy your movie fix?

well i dont know anything about hulu, honestly I've never used it, but with netflix I know they don't tend to get new releases for a long while after they've been out... and also you have to pay extra to get it streamed to your computer.. if thats how you want to watch it. So if hulu has all the new releases plus you like to watch the stuff on your computer I say stick with hulu!

hmmm, we have netflix and we have the cheapest plan and it isn't extra for computer watching or playstation 3 (wii, etc) watching. i mean there is one cheaper plan that is only one dvd at a time through the mail, but for like two bucks more you have unlimited on demand watching and we get one dvd in the mail at a time which makes for good date nights. but if you're more into tv watching hulu might be better...we don't do the whole tv watching thing, we're more of movie people :) oh btw, we have the scarlet pimpernel on our netflx queue right now and i was going to invite you kiddos over when we got to it :)

I am a hulu fan, and watch several hours on friday (as all my favorite show are on Thursday night. Hului plus is becoming more and more restrictive, and you can only watch for a week or so after the show actually comes out. Hulu categorically doesnt have that great of a selection, but if you want to catch up on a current season, it is the only way to do it.

After all said and done, netflix is hands down the better option, especially if you have internet streaming through a wii or other device. So much can be watched instantly -- that is pretty cool. Wider selection, for same price, and more services.

I like hulu a lot. I got a gift card for 3 months of netflix for Christmas so we just got Netflix recently. Netflix has a large selection of DVD's by mail which makes it nice but I'm not that impressed with their "On demand stuff." Yes, there is stuff there but most of the movies they allow you to watch on demand are R rated. A lot of the tv shows they have on demand are not shows I would ever watch. But I guess it all depends on what you like.
