Today is Benjamin's seventh day of life and he is loving it! How could he not?
He was born on June 15th (00:28) weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz. At his doctor's appointment yesterday he weighed 7 lbs. What a good little eater!
He already blesses our lives so much. The first blessing he gave us (me) was only taking 6 hours to be born, thank you!
We love to just look at him.
We came home from the hospital Saturday afternoon. Benjamin was so excited to be home he soiled 3 outfits in 15 minutes! I seriously don't know how he can soak his whole outfit while keeping his diaper dry. He's obviously quite talented.
And we can't get enough of him.
Welcome to the world, little guy!
Janet Markham took these perfect pictures.

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! So happy for you! HE is PRECIOUS! And I'm so glad the delivery went smoothly.
Love you, Charisse!
Sooo WONDERFUL! And he's just precious!! Ahh!! As for soaking outfits, I always had to make sure to tuck Charlie's "wee wee" so it was pointing down whenever I changed diapers. If you're not already doing that, try it! It might help :) I only had to do it for the first few months. Then the diapers seemed to get better :D Congrats!
He is so gorgeous! Love his face and all of his hair! And Janet did a great job with the pictures!
What a beautiful (handsome) child!!! I'm so excited for you guys.
Congrats!!! Benjamin is ADORABLE! I'm glad to hear you only had to have 6 hours of labor. From someone whose babies deliveries all lasted in the upper teens, consider yourself VERY blessed!!
As far as the soaking outfits advice--I was going to mention the same thing as someone already did--make sure "it" points downward. Also, you may want to try out different diaper brands. I remember Jack soaked like every outfit he wore when he was first born. We were using Pampers Swaddlers diapers--which I LOVED for Eva. But I wasn't a fan with them with Jack. For him I loved Huggies. Once I switched diapers--the wet clothes problem was pretty much resolved. I'm usually pretty frugal and go for generic brands but not when it comes to diapers when they are tiny-I think there is a big difference in diapers--that's just me though. Anyway, there's my two cents on that.
I hope you are getting some sleep. The first baby is definitely the hardest transition. It will take awhile to get back in the groove so don't feel bad! Again congrats--I wish we lived closer so I could come snuggle him!
He is one beautiful baby!
Bennett used to pee out of diapers ALLLLLL the time! The diaper would be dry, and he would be laying in a huge puddle! We tried everything-- pointing down, changing brands, nothing much helped, but he did stop doing it after a few weeks :)
Anyway, congratulations! Benjamin is beautiful!
Congratulations Doug & Charisse! Just happened to check your blog and learned the good news! Congratulations!
